I've had fun tonight making some Valentine's Day treats that you can make yourself! They are all very simple and can be made with any type of stamp set for any holiday.

I found this Hershey Kisses Treat Box on Splitcoaststampers web site. I think it is so cute and really easy to make.

I used Pixie Pink and Whisper White cardstock. The box is approximately 5 1/2" by 6". I started scoring at a little less than 2 inches, then after 1 1/4", and then again after 2 inches. I cut the Whisper White at 5 1/2" by 1 3/4 inches. I stamped the heart from All Through the Year in Pixie Pink, Pink Passion and Pretty in Pink. Then I stamped the Happy Valentine's Day from Holidays and Wishes in black. I finished it off with the light pink gingham ribbon tied in a bow. The inside holds 6 Hershey Kisses in a row. I used the peanut butter filled ones because I'm so hooked on them!

The last treat box I have to show you tonight was also an idea I found on Splitcoaststampers.

I used Pixie Pink and Whisper White again for this simple treat box. I started out with a 3" by 11" strip. I scored first at a little under 4 inches, then again after 1 inch, and again after another 4 inches. I then cut the folded over flap to about 1 1/4 inches. On the first 4 inch panel I used the 1-3/8" inch square punch to make the window to the treat inside. I stamped the Love stamp from Tagger's Dozen in Basic Black on Whisper White and punched it with the Small Tag punch. I used Pixie Pink again and the Tag punch to outline the smaller tag. I used the Pixie Pink Stampin' Write marker to outline the one heart in the image. Then I punched holes in the treat box and tag with the 1/8" circle handheld punch and tied it all together with white 1/4" grosgrain ribbon. The Hershey Kisses are in a small cellophane bag and simply attached with SNAIL Adhesive.

I have 2 more Valentine's Day treats to share with you tomorrow. Until then get those stamps out and spread some love!

Happy New Year

I had a busy day taking down the Christmas tree and decorations. So I had to reward myself by playing with one of my new stamp sets! I just love the Embrace Life set. You can do so much with it. I found a card on Splitcoaststampers.com that I cased to make this card. I changed a few things like the color combination and the sizing.
For this card, I used Chocolate Chip cardstock and classic ink. I contrasted the chocolate color with Bashful Blue cardstock. I decided to dust off my Stampin' Pastels and used the Bashful Blue chalk to color the flower. I used my new roll of 5/8" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon and decided to make a simple knot instead of tying a bow this time.

I also used Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds to add some bling to the flower. I used the Corner Punch to create the border around the flower. To make the perfect circle, I used Stampin' Up!'s Coluzzle Cutting System.

All the images are copyrighted Stampin' Up!.

I hope everyone has had a great Christmas and New Year's Break. I have to go back to the real world tomorrow - work! At least it is only a 3 day work week for me. :)

Until next time.....Happy Stamping!
