I'm back!

The new Fall-Winter Idea Book and Catalog from Stampin’ Up! is here!! I’m so excited about this catalog. I have gotten so excited about this new book I’ve already started planning a lot of different events.

For those of you who have been viewing my very small blog – I’m sorry that I haven’t been adding anything to it these last few months. I’ve been very busy with the care of a sick family member since October 2007. Since I work full time and do my SU demonstratorship part-time, something had to give. Everything is more balanced now, so I’ve made a promise to myself to get my stamping blog going again.

A friend of mine is getting married in September so I’ve been helping her and her sister with some of the “wedding things”. I’m working on designing her wedding programs right now. But first I want to share a picture of an idea I helped her sister come up with……

Lettie wanted to use these great organza drawstring bags for favors at a bridal shower she was holding for her sister Marsha, the bride. I came up with the idea of stamping the monogram “C” from Stampin’ Up!’s Lovely Letters alphabet set on the front. We used SU’s Whisper White Craft Pad. The picture doesn’t give it justice. It looked so much better laying on the white cloth napkin at each place setting. Lettie also filled each bronze colored bag with pink strawberry flavored malt balls.

I made some monogram cards for Marsha as part of her shower gift. Below is a picture of one of the cards I made. I’ll share more pictures in the next few days.

This card was CASED from Dawn McVey at dawnmcvey.typepad.com. She is one of my favorite stamping bloggers. I love looking at her site every day.

The SU products I used are: Berry Bliss DSP (retired); Kraft and Pretty in Pink cardstock; Chocolate Chip and Pretty in Pink grosgrain ribbon; Paper Piercer; 1/8” hand held punch, Scallop Edge punch and Tag Corner punch; and Lovely Letters and Together Forever stamp sets.

The butterfly punch is from Martha Stewart and I used some rhinestone gems I bought at Michaels.

I’ll be back tomorrow with more cards to share with you!
